We, the undersigned, are donors to and supporters of Democratic candidates and party committees. We are tired of losing, tired of losers, and exhausted with the lip service of politicians who insist they support working people, while actively working to rip the floor out from under them. 

Today we ask you to stop politicians from your own party from taking a sledgehammer to the foundation working people stand on, betraying the very people they profess to support. We ask you to stand up to Democratic politicians currently pushing legislation to dismantle Michigan’s wage floor, which after an epic ballot initiative and legislative and judicial fight, is poised to become one of the strongest in the country.

Current Michigan law states that by 2028 working people will receive wages of $15PLUS guaranteed for every hour they work. The only thing that can change that is your signature. Don’t give it to them. Uphold the law in Michigan. Demonstrate to us - and to every working person in Michigan and across the country - that you are the leader we need and deserve. 

The election of 2024 was not a wake-up call for Democrats, it was a nuclear bomb. From contemplating additional tax cuts for millionaires today to the disastrous decisions to advance NAFTA and Wall Street deregulation in the past, who can fault working-class voters for refusing to trust Democrats who claim they are the party of working people, yet abandon them again and again, and then blame them for their losses?

As President Trump, MAGA Republicans, and their oligarch backers assume full control of the United States federal government, we ask you to prove - in both word and deed - your commitment to working people, and your intention to use your power to reverse the grotesque level of economic inequality we currently suffer.

Reaching the top shelf requires a good ladder on a strong floor.  The path to American success is not through an oligarchical minority but through an economy with a solid floor and a very tall ladder.

Of the Democrats contemplating a White House run in 2028, YOU are the one with the first chance to prove - to all of us - that you will choose working people over lobbyists and political contributions. You can prove it, by actually doing it.   

We will remember who chose to fight for working people and who didn’t.
